In 2008 Parkmobile Group and BCD Holdings started Parkmobile, LLC. (part of Parkmobile International). Parkmobile, LLC’s mobile payment solution is available in 3 countries:

Parkmobile, LLC is the market leader for on-demand and prepaid mobile payments in the US. Today, Parkmobile is covering 43 States, available at municipal, transit, university and operator locations.


Parkmobile’s on-demand mobile payment solution and ParkNow’s prepaid parking solution together provide consumers around the world with the ultimate customer parking experience. The combined service is currently available in connected vehicles of all original equipment manufacturers such as Audi, BMW and Ford connected vehicles.


In May 2017 Parkmobile launches the industry’s first integrated, automated on-street and off-street reservations parking into all new BMW vehicle lines.

  • February 2012: Parkmobile USA exceeds 1.5 million transactions in its mobile payment for parking program in Washington DC.
  • Parkmobile explosively increases its footprint to 250,000 parking spaces as of June 2012. As market leader in the U.S. Parkmobile is 3 times larger than all other providers combined.

In early 2010, Bill Ford’s (Excutive Chairman Ford Motor Company) private equity company Fontinalis partners joins the Dutch shareholders. The company’s major US breaktrough comes in June 2010 when the MBTA in Boston awards 28,000 parking spaces to Parkmobile, making it the largest mobile payment for parking deployment in the US at the time.


February 2008: Parkmobile Group and BCD Group start Parkmobile USA, Inc. (part of Parkmobile International).


Parkmobile grows rapidly and becomes the market leader for pay by phone parking in Europe in 2006, covering markets in the UK, Germany, Netherlands and Belgium.
