CHERIE FUZZELL ANNOUNCED WOMAN OF THE YEAR IN TECHNOLOGY 2014
14 November 2014, Atlanta, Georgia – Women in Technology (WIT) announced the winners of its 15th annual Women of the Year in Technology Awards, presented by Infor, at a gala and dinner held Thursday evening at the Georgia Aquarium. WIT announced Cherie Fuzzell, CEO of Parkmobile USA, Inc. as 2014 Woman of the Year in Technology in Small Emerging businesses category.
The Women of the Year in Technology Awards program honors the accomplishments of Georgia’s top female leaders in STEM (science, technology, engineering and math) and the impact they’ve made in their communities. One winner from each category, representing Small/Emerging, Medium/Mid-Size and Large/Enterprise businesses, was selected.
Extensive executive experience
Cherie has extensive executive experience in the payments and healthcare industries as well as 7 years of mergers & acquisitions experience with the international law firm, Jones Day. Cherie was most recently President and CEO of FirstView (a prepaid debit card transaction processor and program manager) and has held senior positions with USBancorp, NOVA Information Systems, Inc. (now Elavon), and Magellan Health Services. Cherie earned a bachelor’s degree in Commerce and Business Administration from the University of Alabama and a juris doctorate from the Vanderbilt University School of Law where she served as Associate Editor of the Vanderbilt Law Review.
